Terms of service

The rules that govern your use of SilaCities services and the GUS platform. Please read before using the service.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the services provided by Sila Artificial Intelligence Research LLC (“SilaCities”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), including our website, platform, and related services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1 · Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using SilaCities, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not access or use our services.

2 · Description of service

SilaCities provides an AI-powered urban intelligence platform (GUS) and related services designed to help governments, urban planners, consultancies, developers and investors make data-informed decisions about cities and urban environments.

3 · User accounts & eligibility

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Services are intended for professional and organisational use by persons aged 18 or over.

4 · Acceptable use

You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes. You will not:

  • Use the services for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations or third-party rights
  • Transmit malicious code, disrupt or interfere with the service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, data, or other accounts
  • Use the services to spam, harass, or abuse others
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract bulk data outside of documented APIs
  • Resell, redistribute or sublicense the service without our written consent

5 · Intellectual property

All content on our services, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, video, data, software and the underlying platform , is owned by SilaCities or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works without our prior written permission, except as permitted by your subscription agreement.

6 · User content

You retain ownership of any data, documents or other content you upload to the platform (“User Content”). By uploading User Content, you grant SilaCities a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process and display the content solely for the purpose of delivering the service to you. User Content is not used to train shared models without your explicit written consent.

7 · Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use and protection of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8 · Fees & payment

Where services are offered on a paid basis, fees are set out in your subscription or engagement agreement. Unless otherwise stated: fees are due in advance, non-refundable, and exclusive of applicable taxes. We may change prices on renewal with reasonable notice.

9 · Disclaimers

Our services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SilaCities disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Outputs from AI-based features are provided for informational and decision-support purposes and should be reviewed by qualified personnel before being acted upon.

10 · Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SilaCities will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11 · Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SilaCities, our officers, directors, employees and agents harmless from any claim, damage or expense arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12 · Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the services ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, indemnities and limitations of liability) will survive.

13 · Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE, save for where local consumer-protection laws grant additional rights.

14 · Changes to terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes are posted on this page and, where we have your email, we notify you. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
